More upscale would be the Eagles Nest at Tillery Tradition and River Wild both on Lillys Bridge road going south from 24/27 on the Montgomery County side of the river. Google is your friend. Mt Gilead has a good place called "The Ford Place" (old Ford dealership). Few places cropping up around Uwharrie Point Country club. "Ricks" in Denton is world renowned on 109..... country cooking buffet.
